Ginger is a 3-year old beagle/red nose coon hound rescue dog who was abandoned at two years old and left to fend for herself. Animal control eventually picked her up at the bequest of a concerned citizen. Ginger was covered in ticks and fleas, lonely & scared. She stayed in the Marion County, FL animal shelter in Ocala for nearly 2 months. This dog is the sweetest, most gentle and loving dog. She was house trained, knew how to walk on a leash and knew basic commands such as sit. It blew my mind that such a nice dog like this could end up in a predicament like this. I immediately adopted her and told her this was the beginning of the best part of her life and that we are furrever friends. I currently live in an apartment. I want Ginger to have a yard to run in. So I have done everything in my power to get a home with a fenced yard. I found a small modest 900 sq/ft house I could afford, but the yard needed to be fenced. I applied for an FHA 203k loan where I could finance this improvement into my mortgage, provided the house would appraise for the improved value. I received the appraisal today. It was $4000 short to give Ginger the play and exercise area she deserves. With a fenced yard, I intend to help other rescue animals and maybe get Ginger a sister to enjoy life with. Those of you that know me personally, know I have sacrificed to get to this point. As a music lover, I stayed home from New Orleans Jazzfest this year to make this happen. Asking for your help is very humbling. If I have ever put a smile on your face, please help with a donation for Ginger. I only have a few days to raise this money or the balance of the money to erect the fence that could be derived from the loan, will have to be forfeited, unless I can come up with this money. Thanks from the bottom of our hearts!
Love & thanks,
