Dire Bends

I have come to the conclusion that I need to ask for help and that help would be very appreciated at this time of my life; especially as recently I have had no other corners to turn to for help.

I have spent the last 10 years trying as hard as I can to provide for family and myself. Looking back I have spent most of my time working and developing myself in my career to earn more; in hopes that this would not only allow myself to help my family more(my sister and mother) but also allow myself some freedom to start doing other things which I would like to do; sport etc... Looking back I know this is a result of always putting others first. I would say of the past; which I think almost everyone does; that I could have perhaps made choices in the past which would have increased my current success. I have unfortunately recently had a problem with an ex employer asking myself to perform illegal activities; when rejecting to do any of this work and complaining about such actions in IT security; I have been defamed and rediculed to the client and prospective new employers. I have battled to find work for the last 3-4 months; putting myself at critical bad ends financially. Finding out recently that my ex employer had been advising that I had damaged their networks in references given to to agencies for prespective job opportunities etc.. it was odd at the time being told that I was liked by the employer or in other cases that I was being offered jobs and them having them withdrawn or not hearing back at all. I have decided to add this to the court case for defamation and for monies I still havent been paid for work done from my ex employer. Unfortunately in the meantime I am left with little opportunity and no way of advancing myself to make myself more profitable. I have taken as much measures as I can to counter act the false references that have been provided to agencies & employers. I know this is a result of my innocence; not expecting my ex employer to go to such extents from disagreements; I had expected to depart ways and hear of it no further in a professional manner; and that my excellent work would be what a reference was given on.

The only way I can think of is to try and get some qualifications under my belt which might bolster my rapport; to counteract the false accusations with words alone is hard and unfortunately at this stage the negative reputation which has transpired to agencies that have been contacted so far.I have had a problem with staying anywhere as rent in my area is of an everage of £400.00 a month; and then of course theres living expenses. The money I have asked for would let myself be able to take care of myself until a further 4-6 months worse case scenario and would potentially allow myself to try and get a qualification in the mean time to increase my success and chances. Unfortunately the qualifications in security cost at the beginning edge of £2500.00. So it would not be viable if I could get this plus a time to live until a job is found; or I am reduced to not knowing where to live or go.

I have lost a job opportunity recently that I was offered due to using my old employer as a reference. I am an intelligent person and know with the right amount of help could attain further qualifications in IT Security that would allow myself to not just obtain employment; most important at the moment; but also obtain work that will increase my income and help myself get work. I feel that obtaining more IT qualifications would counteract in some regard the lies that have been mentioned thus far; however I cannot say for sure and is one of those things that I have to atleast try if given the opportunity.

I have had to look for work recently doing anything; however due to always being in IT; much of the work doing cleaning or warehouse packing wont give myself the opportunity over others with experience. I will continue to look for anything I can; however I will leave this up here until something is found.
