Dori is a 1 year old 60 lb White Golden Retriever who was born with a defect that left her without a normal front leg. Her leg was short, skinny, and without a foot. At 4 months old, Dori had her leg amputated. Sadly - she is not a candidate for a prosthetic. The vet recommends we get her a 2-wheel cart. Dogs carry up to 65% of their body weight on their front legs. It's only been 8 months since the amputation and already Dori's left leg is bowing from bearing most of her weight. Sooner or later her left leg will give out. Other complications that can arise if we don't get Dori the help she needs include muscle weakness, muscular pain, Elbow Hygroma, stress to other limbs which can lead to arthritis, serious back problems, etc.

We are hoping to raise enough money for the cart and shipping costs along with other medical expenses including measurements and fittings, rehabilitation, etc.

Dori also has a sister, Abby (Collie), who she loves sooo much! Right now, she can't go on a walk with her best friend...or run on the beach. Dori is such a sweet, lovable, beautiful puppy! Our family humbly asks for your help in providing the quality of life that she so very much deserves.
