Give A Leg

Meet my youngest daughter, Camille. She is 27 years old, a single mom of a 10 year old girl named Kaela and an above-the-knee amputee (AKA).

In April 2013, on her way to work, a car rammed into her right leg while she was boarding a jeepney. That instantly detached the leg. She has undergone three more surgeries after that. There appeared to be some growth of ligaments on the stump causing her so much pain. Whatever we have set aside for the down payment of her leg has gone to the surgeries, therapy (both physical and psychiatric) and her expensive medications.

Camille is now working online for a US company with the graveyard shift. Her earnings go to her daughter's needs and her home and transportation expenses. She is a main player in the Philippine Women's Basketball Team. She has also joined the local basketball team and is very active. With God's grace, she has her training leg now and will soon be ready for her permanent leg, her lifetime prosthetic dream leg.

We have found a cheaper supplier of her permanent prosthetic leg. Ottobock has quoted us Php 1.3M and the new supplier MediWalk has quoted us only Php350,000!!! :)

We stand strong in our faith that God will provide! On this note, I would like to appeal to friends out there.
