Books for Change
To change a nation, make information accessible for all.
Last year, we successfully brought over books to the remote island of Carnaza in Cebu.
At the moment, we have relied purely on posting on Facebook and asking friends for book donations and have spent out of our pockets to cover all other expenses.
We need your support to make this project
sustainable, there are a lot of communities needing access to libraries and any donation will help us a lot.
This year, our next big project is set to happen on April 25, 2020 where we will be bringing the donated books all the way up north of Luzon at Sta. Maria, Isabela. Santa Maria, officially the Municipality of Santa Maria, is a 4th class municipality in the province of Isabela, Philippines .
The community library where we will be bringing books to is at least 470 km. away from Metro Manila.
We need your help to cover the logistics and to get more books.
Why books?
Our aim is to help all underprivileged children and youth in the Philippines to thrive in their education through provision of libraries.
We are campaigning for every Filipino to take action by providing material support such as books and other information resources and sharing the cause.
Where's the money going to?
Here's the breakdown of expenses:
- $ 300 - Logistics (P 4,000/40kgs book)
- $ 200 - Reference Books
***The volunteers cover for their travel expenses.
