Odin is a lovely Border Collie Mix puppy. He’s a happy guy who loves to blow nose bubbles in her water bowl, and to chase things! My daughter Christy adopted him from Animal Services Center of the Mesilla Valley he was stray dog with broken leg. I was told by the shelter that his front right leg had been broken in couple different places (they don't know how), but that he was past the pain and would just walk with a limp because it was never set correctly.

I took him in for routine care. The vet became very concerned with how much he favored the leg. He examined him and took X-rays and found that one of the breaks was through a growth plate. Odin was diagnosed with Angular Limb Deformity caused by the premature closure of a growth plate. We were referred to a surgeon who said the Odin leg must be surgically straightened by removing part of the bone and placing plates and screws. . The total cost of the surgery is around $3700. Surgery will give him a normal, pain-free life. He will be able to run and play. Unfortunately my pet insurance won't cover this surgery because this is preexisting condition.

So please dig deep and help us save this bundle of joy who so deserves to be healthy! If you can, please help us, help him. Thanks for taking the time just to read my story.
