Give 500 poor boys and girls a chance to gaining access to education in their community.
A passionate journey on a beautiful morning along poorly unmade local color of the capital territory, cruising around for a charity outreach turned soar in my heart when discovered some unkempt and half naked children wondering about on a lonely path with no guidance. It was indeed a heartbreaking scene and a terrible situation on what we witnessed at Jiyita village. A poor rural community situated at the far end of Abuja, Nigeria, was left in a pitiable and neglected state with no access to life basic amenities like clean water, electricity light, education or health center.
There’s no single school structure available. Children from 2 – 10yrs cant trek to school in other communities because of long distance and there are no better means of transportation except a few bikes which majority of them can’t afford because of high cost.
One in ten young people in this community is unable to read or write a single sentence and most of their adults and children were unable to gain access to education in their whole life if not been assisted.
As we all know that education is one of the surest ways to improving life of a child academically, socially and emotionally to become more productive in the society; without primary education children are likely to remain invalidity for the rest of their life.
Only with your help and kind donation can we break this cycle of poverty and illiteracy by-
- Building a mini school facility
- Make provision of school uniforms
- Text books
- Writing materials and other educational kits.
Together we can continue providing quality access to education and improving the lives of families in our society.
