My girlfriend has had tremendous lower back pain for most of her life, starting from before early teen years and the pain increased over the years. She eventually found out she has a rare disorder that affects the spine, her disc is degrading and a portion of one of her vertebra didn't form properly at birth which led to surgery in the years ahead, the doctor said to her once that they had never done such back surgery on someone so young. At 20 years old and almost a year after the surgery which was supposed to eventually alleviate the pain, the pain is now worse and excruciating some days, she cant keep taking pain pills because she also has a rare stomach condition called eosinophilic colitis and there are a vast amount of things she cant often ingest and some things at all. On a very bad day her stomach is in pain, her back is in pain and sometimes she may even pass blood when using the toilet.

She has a grade 12 education which she got in college and tried to procure herself a spot in perhaps studying animation but with all the medical bills atop tertiary education, it just wasn't possible. She has a real talent for art and is outrageously creative, a side of her I admire and don't want to see get lost because of her conditions weighing on her. She stays abnormally happy though all this apart from a day here and there and I cannot fathom how she does it, She will have to start working one of these days to provide for herself and to the household and I cannot bear letting her go through that, she has to be able to sit, stand and lay down and any given time when her back pains to much to handle, one cannot do that if working in an office or any job for that matter. I would love to be able to work and provide for both of us but as many of you reading this will know, how improbable that is these days.

What I want to achieve here is potentially raise enough money to buy her a proper drawing tablet, not something pricey even. Something as simple as a Wacom Intuos Drawing Tablet which can cost no more than 2000 South African Rand or 140 US dollars at most, art software and some basic money to market her artwork. I want to make her a Deviantart page where one can post her art, even tackle other social media sites like Webtoons to get her partially noticed. In the long run I want to get her set up to work from home, doing art, streaming or uploading tutorials on art, making short comics. Making Youtube animation shorts is also a viable option. She is talented but still has a lot to learn.

She is also a huge gamer and video game enthusiast, it is where she draws most of her influence from, She has gotten herself involved in beta testing here and there which can spell potential income way down the line and I want to try get her a few minor voice over gigs, as one who dabbles in voice over myself this can be a doable venture too.

In closing, I want her to be able to have a life where she make a decent income that she can live off of without having to work in an office and where she doesn't have to explain herself when she has to lay down, stand or sit because of her pain. Nobody will understand or care to learn to understand, a life at home where she can do what she likes doing and making a small living off of it would be so ideal.

Thank you for taking the time to read this if you made it all the way to the end.

Thank you ever so much.
