Girl Child Empowerment

The Girl Child Empowerment campaign is diverse and it is solely centered on empowering girls in various disciplines. Following the fact that this is a broad aspect, I have four areas in which I would like to empower girls and women which I will elaborate progressively. Firstly, I would like to help in education and career guidance. It goes without saying that girls and women go through a bit of a hard process when it comes to achieving goals pertaining to careers especially those deemed to be male dominated. There are so many prejudices about what a girl can and can not study in terms of career choice in my community and I feel this has the potential to discourage many girls. I am afraid we may not know where the next big innovation may come from if chances are not given and so I would like to create a platform where girls are given a chance to exhibit and also follow their passions & dreams and in a little way contribute to the betterment of this world. Secondly through financial assistance. As talents and skills are observed in the girls and women, sponsorship to enhance and develop the skills will be given to the girls and women. Thirdly through exposure, I would like that the girls and women interact with women who have succeeded with their dreams, this will create a moment where the girls can be inspired as they look at role models. Lastly and finally through the follow-up process, analyzing how the girls and women have benefited from the campaign and also identifying some setbacks and how well they can be improved. This will be very vital as it will provide a good platform to measure the success of the campaign and it will be closed off with a celebration to the success on the respective achievements of the girls and women.
