Girl is a mix breed dog we rescued on the streets of Costa Rica. She has been with us for 4 years now and since we are returning to South Africa next month we want to bring her with us. Girl has become part of our family and we do not want to leave her behind.
The total amount we need to have her transported from San Jose in Costa Rica to Cape Town, South Africa is $3800. We have already raised over $2000 and have secured a further $600 from our families. Right now we just need another $1000.
If we manage to raise more than we need we will donate the balance to the animal shelter in San Jose, they need help with performing sterilizations to help curb the stray dog population here in Costa Rica where an estimated 200 000 to 300 000 dogs live on the streets.
