Did you know that Ginseng root is exported in larger volumes than any other (CITES) Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species. CITES is a worldwide organization of 135 countries in the world. and only 19 US States can export ginseng. South Korea, China, Canada and US make up 99% of all ginseng exports in the world. Ginseng is found wild in the midwest to the eastern United States and only 19 states are allowed to export as permitted by the endangered species list. The American Cancer Society writes that laboratory studies on ginseng suggest some substance may be anticancer properties. Some populated studies in Asia link it to lower cancer risk. This tells me we need to do more studies, we just do not understand the capabilities of this plant. Ginseng is an ancient herb that is claimed to help the body prevent and fight diseases, including cancer. The American Cancer Society also writes that ginseng enhances performance and provides energy to people who are stressed or fatigued. Ginseng also relieves depression and anxiety, protects the heart,  strenghtens digestive functions, prevents hardening of the arteries, stabilizes blood pressure and insulin levels, helps with erectile dysfunction and even the delays the effects of aging. Ginseng also helps fight infections, such as colds and flu. Ginseng is used for insomnia, loss of appetite, diabetes and nerve pain. What does this mean? Four countries make up 99% of the exports on ginseng. Nineteen US States are allowed to export Ginseng and that could be diminishing. The demand for Ginseng is very high with past price ranges from $200 - $1000 a pound. Recently it has been on the high end. I am asking for a donation for 2015 season to help my efforts in the exporting of ginseng and further research statistics. In return you will be sent my records and logs of the 2015 season with where it grows, tips and how to pick and sell ginseng yourself. I will also send you instructions on how to export ginseng with all the legalities required. You will also receive a list of buyers overseas for exports.  If you have any questions please email me at [email protected].
