Campaign Story
“Did you know that as little as 42 SEK (4 euros) can reduce infection-related neonatal mortality by up to 40% in one part of the world where 3 out of every 100 babies born die during their first month of life? You are probably asking yourself how?? Well thanks to the use of birth kits (each cost around 42 SEK indeed), which provide all the sterile material to perform a delivery safely, both for mother and child” - Giorgia Dalla Libera M. (Gio), SOGH exiting Director
Gio, our director since January 2019, is leaving her position but she still wants to celebrate her birthday by supporting SOGH main project: “I believe SOGH has been a great supporting partner of the work of our amazing colleagues at UDHA (Uganda Development and Health Associates), since the start of the Mama & Family Project in 2014. I want to leave my position knowing we are still contributing to this project thanks to the support of all the people out there who believe in our vision as much as we do. So I thank every single one of you who will gift me, as a birthday present, a donation to the Mama & Family Project”.
Join us in wishing Gio happy birthday by supporting the Mama & Family Project, which provides support to pregnant women in a rural area of South-East Uganda. Your donation will support the purchase of birth kits - last year we were able to purchase 240 kits, how many will you help us to get this year?

Who we are:
Swedish Organization for Global Health (SOGH) is a Swedish non-profit and non-governmental organization comprised of students and young professionals who share a passion to contribute to global health through evidence-based action.
Together with our local and international partners, we engage in conversations with local communities to co-develop projects that bring concrete positive change and take environmental and economic sustainability into account. While supporting projects both in Sweden and in low-income countries, we use our virtual and physical platforms to bring awareness about some of the most neglected health topics, such as women’s reproductive health.
