gift of sight for a baby

3 surgeries so far at the age of 9 months old. More to go, but her parents can no longer afford it. Please help.

I met this baby during one of my freelance job as a medical translator. Her name is Huynh Chhouin (Hin Choo-in), born 28 May 2017. She was born with severe case of glaucoma and has to go through many surgeries to drain the fluid from her eyes or the eyeball would explode.

Her parents are nurses in the far noth of Cambodia, making USD200/month salaries. They have to borrow from everyone they know to send their baby for many surgeries and each costs $5,000-1,5000. They ahve drained all their resources but the surgeries are not completed yet. Huynh Chhouin still needs at least 2 more surgeries to maintain her eyeballs. This means at least $30,000 more which her parents can no longer afford.

I know many of use think that if she's poor, why go all the way to Singapore to seek treatment. She has tried many other options including going to many charity organization in Cambodia, and to hospitals in VietNam and then Thailand. No avail. Cuz so far only ONE doctor dare to operate on a baby this young. And if the baby did not receive the surgeries, her eye ball would have exploded.

I hope we can all work together to give the gift of sight to this beautiful baby. A baby whose temperament is so good that she bare cried much after the 3rd surgeries where I met her. My heart broke looking at them. I wish I could do more but I am only a poor university student.
