Gift of Life for Kenny Henderson – Help Cover Transplant Costs

I was diagnosed with some kidney issues in 2006 but it wasn't major at the time. In November of last year I had some odd symptoms that caused me to be hospitalized. During that hospitalization I learned that in two weeks time me kidney issues accelerated into a new diagnosis: Chronic Kidney Disease - Stage 5. Seemingly overnight my wife and I were thrusted into conversations about dialysis and getting a kidney transplant. Trusting God, I immediately started making lifestyle changes that I hoped would reverse or slow down the progression of the disease. My condition has worsened. With that, I have decided to start dialysis and I’m in the process of getting approved to be wait-listed for a kidney. While I wait for dialysis start I’m constantly exhausted, nauseated and irritated—among other things. You can imagine how difficult it has become to do simple things like caring for our girls and cooking meals but I’ve been continuing to do it because my wife’s schedule doesn’t afford her the flexibility mine does. However, I’ve reached a breaking point. We need help! There are many ways you can help and this is one. Your monetary gift will help us offset medical costs that insurance does not cover and that alone we cannot bare. Cost like medical supplies, visits with specialists, surgeries, prescriptions and lost wages.

This has been a very emotional time in my life and has caused me to reflect a lot. But one thing is for sure, I know I serve a HEALER and MIRACLE WORKER!! I request from you all your prayers during this time. I don't want anyone to feel "sad" or "sorry" for my condition. Instead, declare healing and victory over my life! I am not sure what is ahead and how long this process will last but I am trusting God.
