Campaign Story
Sir / Madame,
We are hereby requesting your companies’ assistance in relation to sponsorship for a project we are embarking on called GIFT A WOMAN.
The purpose of the project is to restore some form of dignity to the lives of women in prison and even to shed some hope of light at the end of a dark tunnel. In some form or another we are all trapped in a prison, fortunately enough for us as individuals we are not serving our time behind bars, on the other hand currently at Pollsmoor Prison there are 724 women, who is someone’s grand-mother, mother, aunt, sister & daughter serving their time behind penitentiary walls. Despite the criminal activity that was committed wilfully and in rare cases these females might even be innocent, so do they need a new prospect in their existence as we all deserve a second opportunity in life!
We seek your assistance in helping us make this project a reality, by partnering with us to GIFT A WOMAN! As mentioned above the total number of women at Pollsmoor Prison incarcerated is 724 as per communication from the Head of Communication at Pollsmoor Prison, Mr Davids. However we are focussing on 800 gifts, as we unaware of what the total might be in December, when handover of gifts will take place. We are waiting for the date from the Department of Correctional Services for a proposed day in December for gifts to be handed out. For this event we also seek assistance for the following:
Cake.
Biscuits.
Cold Drink.
Juice.
