Gianella A’isha’s SMA 2(Spinal Mascular Atrophy) Treatment

I decided to make this post because I know a lot of you are praying for our little A'isha Zuri, and also this is to once and for all address all the questions people, friends and some acquaintance always asked... After making this post I am expecting and hoping that somehow if you'd see my daughter in person, please be kind enough not to ask or talk about her condition, it's not easy, and for me as a dad it's getting more difficult and hard for me to talk or even think about it! So please understand and instead continue to uphold us, Zuri, in your prayers...

At first we haven't suspected that there's anything wrong or special about her, new born screen and other new born test were good, vaccines complete, miles stone achieved normal and some advanced, till suddenly she started showing some weakness, we ask her pedia, been to an ortho, and back and forth to pedia clinics and not to mention her hospitalizations... it has been very challenging but I know and believed in my heart God was, is and will always be with us all throughout, I kept all the positive thoughts and made sure to be strong for my little girl, we had her neurologist, started rehab, got a neuro-muscular doctor then a genetic doctor (I thank God for all these helpful and kind doctors), a lot happened along this journey of faith, I thanked God for giving me a fighter daughter, I saw how brave she was every time her blood needs to be extracted for some tests, every time she needs to go to the hospital I know that she's really trying her best to be okay, there's a lot to tell but fast forward, thank you for all your prayers, we've got the result last January of this year from the US lab and discussed it with her doctor, I've heard and searched about the case for the past months, I've been praying and asking God to turn things around, yet today the answer we recieved is personally for me not the result every parent would want to hear, SO IT'S POSITIVE! OUR DAUGHTER IS DIAGNOSED WITH SMA 2, a condition that most likely to happen to 1 out of 12,000 kids, the weakness will progress without treatment, and there's no treatment yet here in the Philippines, there's only 3 treatments available as of the moment but no promise of remedy, just to slow the progression of weakness and other complications and it'll cost millions, UNTIL GOD GAVE AN ANSWER TO OUR PRAYERS, A TREATMENT CALLED "GENE THERAPY" the most expensive but with positive effects and PROVEN RECORD OF RECOVERY EVEN FOR THOSE WITH SMA1... at the moment I heard the news, humanly speaking I don't even know how to describe how I felt, I cried to God and whispered a prayer, I wanted to question Him but instead I ask for strength, wisdom and for Him to help me to trust Him more even in this situation He allowed us to be at, if only I could take her place, but despite of all this I commit everything to Him, to the sovereign God I serve and believed in, to the one who is in control! So please, right now, prayers, more prayers, words of comfort and encouragement are very much appreciated, but please respect if I don't want to talk about my daughter's condition especially if she's around, I want her to grow living a normal life as much as possible, and still be able to enjoy her childhood not hearing things about what she can't do but more of what she can do and how amazing she is...Our family have been through a lot but with God's grace we're able to make it so WITH YOUR PRAYERS AND HEARTILY GIVEN DONATIONS we believe we will be able to bring her to Canada and have her treatment there. With God's help, provision and intervention, WE ARE CLAIMING THAT ZURI WILL BE ABLE TO HAVE A WHOLE NEW START AS THE LORD WILLETH, SHE'LL RECOVER AND LIVE AS THE LORD PERMITS! I STILL BELIEVE AND CLAIM THAT THE GOD WHO MADE THE BLIND SEE, LIMPS WALK AND THE IMPOSSIBLE POSSIBLE IS THE SAME GOD WHO WILL DO A MIRACLE FOR OUR LITTLE GIRL ❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
