Campaign Story
Hello website visitor!
This December, from December 13th to December 24th, I will be traveling from Maine, here in the USA, to Accra, Ghana as a medical student volunteer to perform physical exams, wound care, hygiene education, sexual health education, infection education and prevention, COVID-19 education and testing, malaria screening and testing and so much more to the underserved people of Ghana living in rural areas outside their capital city of Accra. These people are people with little to no access to basic healthcare supplies or facilities and drastically need help. With 2020 having been a crazy year, and with this being so close to Christmas, I just really felt the call to go when this opportunity presented itself, and I just couldn't say no.
I will be partnering with Doctors Without Borders and IVHQ for my trip and would really appreciate any help in raising funds for this endeavor. I am very excited to be able to take the skills I have been learning in medical school and use them to help people who would not otherwise be getting the care they need. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to reach out to me and I will be more than happy to answer them any way I can.
Blessings,
Joshua
