Campaign Story
Hi all! On the 7th of September I will be fufilling one of my childhood dreams and travelling to Ghana (Kumasi) to volunteer for a few weeks in an Orphanage.
Like so many developing countries, Ghana has a large number of children who find themselves in care, not all children have lost their parents, some have come from a very abusive background. The orphanages are basic, understaffed, under resourced & in need of volunteers assistance. I will be helping them learn essential life skills, helping them with general childcare & teaching to help them build a brighter future and break free from poverty in which they live.
Unfortunatley, doing this comes with a cost and I wish to raise £1000-£1500 to help with travel costs, toys/clothes/books for the orphanage. I would be so grateful for any donations, even something as small as £1 could go a long way.
