Ghana Orphanage Volunteering

Soon after I graduate next year , I'm planning to volunteer in Ghana with Plan My Gap Year. I will spend 4 weeks in the Kumasi Children's Home, which takes care of the children who have lost their parents, from abusive homes or simply the ones that the parents were unable to afford to look after. The orphanage is constantly in need of volunteers as it lacks in the staff resources, the children are missing on the individual attention which they need. It is important that the children are provided with essential skills and care as it opens up brighter futures for them, free from poverty. PMGY try to make the cost as low as possible, however there are additional costs such as flights or visa, which can all add up to quite a high amount. Every small donation towards my trip would be a huge help!
