- We are midwifery students with an opportunity to travel to Ghana and experience midwifery. The hospital I am hoping to work in there are 4-5 maternal deaths each month. Women in Ghana suffer from increased domestic violence, live in fear of rape and often contract HIV because they are unable to protect themselves. 1 in 3 women are subjected to domestic violence in pregnancy leading to increased miscarraige, still birth and complications. I can't change the world in a 2 week trip but I can offer care, compassion and human kindness. I also plan to take with me some essential medical supplies and baby supplies. Please help me to help these women and babies and donate what you can afford, just 50p can make a difference and help me to reach my target. Thank you
