I never imagined I would find the courage to seek assistance via this means but I was taught that no matter what life throws at you, you must keep fighting the odds. Well, this is me...fighting for my future. I completed high school in 2018 as one of the top 3-performing graduates and began a two-year study programme in September 2018 at British West indies Collegiate (in the Turks & Caicos Islands). I have always been a high achiever, from the very moment that books were placed into my hands as a small boy. My drive and passion for excellence led to my attaining a National Award in Mathematics when I sat the GSAT (Grade Six Achievement Test) in my final year of Primary-level schooling. Again at the end of my secondary-level education, I was the recipient of a National CXC Award (in May 2019) for outstanding academic performance in the CSEC (Caribbean Secondary' Education Certificate) Examination. Upon graduating from high school, I attained a High School "Diploma with Merit", was awarded "Top Accounts Graduate", "All-Round Graduate" and garnered 7 Grade Ones and 5 Grade 2's in my external examination.
College started well for me in September 2018; everything was going as planned, but along the way numerous road blocks have popped up. My obstacles actually began in 2016 and intensified over the years following. My mother struggled at all cost to make sacrifices in an effort to fulfill my dream of becoming a computer Engineer and Software Developer. As her struggles mounted, I went through an episode where I had to absent myself from college many days throughout the week, because of insufficient funds. I am seeking a chance to see my goals come to fruition. I realize that I need help...divine intervention...for without a plan in place, I fear that my dream will dissolve and become the "deferred dream" that is referenced in Langston hughes' poem, "Harlem".
Any money raised would help me with: the school fee, travelling expenses, housing/boarding expenses, etc.
In addition, I am a National athlete for the Turks & Caicos Islands (having attained Bronze Medal at CARIFTA 2018 held in the Bahamas as well as Gold Medal and Bronze at the Friendship Games 2018, held in Haiti. CARIFTA is a region-wide Caribbean sporting event in which the best athletes from each Caribbean country participate to establish themselves as future Olympics stars. My achievements are varied and reference to a few of those achievements are archived online and accessible for public viewing (See a few links below). I would be grateful for any assistance that can be given as I hope to get through my final year in College and to move on into University. Your donation will not go to waste, I assure you.
I am currently pursuing A-Level Math, Physics and ICT in College as these are the pre-requisites for enrollment into university, thereafter to pursue my Bachelor's Degree. Thank you for your kindness.
