Help get something off my chest! Chris’ top surgery fund
My name is Chris (he/him/his) and I’m raising money for top surgery so I can feel the most like myself. I’m a trans guy from Kansas who moved to Chicago a few years back after my bio-family did not react well to me coming out. But since starting my life in Chicago, I’ve met the most amazing people and made my own family. The love and support of my queer family here means the world to me, and I’m asking for just a little more help so I can get this gender-affirming surgery.
I currently work as a waiter, but unfortunately my current paycheck isn’t enough for me to handle my expenses, and insurance won’t cover everything. Anything you can contribute is so appreciated and will help me cover the procedure, aftercare, and living expenses during the time I’ll have to recover. I’m hoping to raise about $8,000. Any money I raise that I don’t need, I will donate to the Center on Halsted to help out other queer folks.
