Getting into eSports

Hello, my name is Trevor Erasmus and come from South Africa. Over here online gaming and eSports(electronic sports) in particular is quite unknown especially when it comes to it being a career.

In school, have you ever heard a teacher suggest playing video games as a way to earn a living?

The answer most of us will have is no because even in countries where eSports is well known, it is not a career choice that is recommend. I only came to know about it after I stumbled on a post of Fortnite(online video game) World Cup. So I did research and learnt more about the entirety of tournaments and those who participate in it.

As a pro player it is possible to earn a living aside from winning tournaments.

I have just learnt that Apex legend(other online game) is holding qualifiers on the 25 January 2020 for a world tournament later this year and I'd love to compete in it as both a way to gain knowledge on how things work and also by winning, I could start to fund my career. I still got a long way to go before I'll be able to be in a position to start earning a living for myself.

All I need is:

- R4 296 in total for 10Gig per month on a 24 months contract($301.59)

- Entry level gaming laptop coming in under $850

(I calculated on the internet connection being $321)

Please help me to get my career of the ground. By doing so you'll be helping me to change my life around and help me prove to other who feel the same that we are not useless, that with a little help we can be more then we are right now.

My goal is to help inspire a positive change and by becoming champion, I'll be able to do that, by leading by example.
