I have lived in Nova Scotia, Canada with my husband now for 10 years. We have had nothing but issues trying to get immigration for him to move to the States where all my family is. In 2010 tragedy struck our family as my 27 year old sister passed away in her sleep very suddenly. I was caught having to fly that 4000 miles by myself, plagued with guilt at not being able to say goodbye, and of not visiting more. These trips are very costly so at best I see my family every 2-3 years.
My grandfather Stan Dyer, has fallen ill and the prognosis is not good. My grandmother just had knee replacement surgery and is not up and about. My own father is disabled as well. I need to get to my family so that I can help, so that I can be the rock. So that this time I get to say goodbye.
I am trying to raise money for myself, my daughter, my sister and my brother all to be with my grandparents, and not miss an oppurtunity to say goodbye again.
My grandfather suffers with MS so any money raised above what we need for our travel expense will be donated to the National MS Society in my Grandfathers name. So that a cure can be found, and others don't have to struggle in pain.
Won't you please help us get home to see our Grandparents?
