Getting a step up

Hi, I am a single father of three lovely children.  One of them is disabled for the rest of his life due to an in utero stroke he had during delivery.  I work full time in a low income job, doing all I can to make ends meet.  My children are well cared for and their needs met, but I can never really do anything special for them or for myself.

Additionally, I see no way to move up in the world and maybe save some money for their future college.  One of them will be 12 in June. We live in a small apartment with not very much room for three growing boys.

We arent really in a crisis, but every month is a struggle.  There is no money to go back to school for me to get a degree and maybe earn more, there is no money in the bank if something goes disasterously wrong, there is no flexibility in the budget if anything else increases in price (Gas, Food, Taxes have all gone up in the last few years), no real opportunity.  I cant even find a second job to help, given the economy as it is.  Heaven forbid if I ever lost my primary job, we would lose it all.

Im asking for a leg up for my family.  A little money to give us that cushion so that maybe I can go back to school, start up some college funds, buy them something nice for their birthdays for once, get a little ahead on the bills and take the constant frantic struggle out of it.

Any amount will help.  Ive set a goal of course but even if we get somewhere with it, it will be enough.
