Campaign Story
This summer, Nina needs the help of her community to get to Hong Kong for one of the largest gatherings of anti-imperialist activists and leaders around the world!
The International Assembly of the International League of Peoples' Struggle happens every three or so years to convene hundreds of activists and community leaders from around the world for the purpose of strengthening the united front against imperialism. The International Assembly is the highest decision-making organ of the International League of Peoples' Struggle, which is made up of over 300 anti-imperialist and democratic mass organizations from over 40 countries.
This year, the 6th International Assembly will be held on June 23-26, 2019 with the theme, "Win a bright socialist future for humanity! Unite the people to fight and end imperialist war, racism and fascism!"
With your help, Nina hopes to attend the International Assembly to represent BAYAN USA as well as the ILPS US Country Chapter. For the last five years, Nina has been working with the ILPS as a regional Northeast co-coordinator and now a member of the US steering committee to bring people together in solidarity and resistance against the global rise of fascism and intensifying militarism and war.
However, as an office worker and incoming graduate student, Nina does not have the means to cover the trip on her own. She would be deeply humbled to have the opportunity to attend the Assembly as a US delegate and share local lessons on an international level. Conversely, she looks forward to bringing back new ideas and relationships from the Assembly to continue strengthening movement work stateside.

- $1000 = Air travel
- $350 = Registration
- $200 = Lodging from 6/27-6/29
- $200 = Personal Expenses
- $150 = Fundraiser Fees
