Help Darren get to the UDO Worlds XII Street Dance Championships in Glasgow!

I have been invited to compete at the UDO WorldXII street dancing championship Glasgow in August,2017 and I need help getting there!

I have qualified to compete in a solo performance as well as with my GenerationX formation team for the WorldsXII street dancing comp championship.

I do all styles of dancing but right now my main focus is hip hop.

Hip hop is the first dance style I’m studying before learning and studying any other dance styles. I am currently studying to be a teacher in hip hop at my dance studio and assist the teachers when they are unable to do classes. I do not earn much for helping out as it is part of my training. I would eventually like to branch out into many other styles of dancing.

To me dancing is everying. Dancing is my life. It is all I want to do and it is my chosen career path. To me, dancing is about escaping one’s self and being able to be a part of another world. Your own world where nothing else matters, it’s just you and the music.

Qualifying for this championship means the world to me. I would get exposure to an international hiphop scene and the world’s top hiphop dancers and it would be invaluable experience towards my career in dance on an international level as well as help me learn new moves and choreo.

I currently live with my mom, sister and brother in law so I can carry on with my dance lessons to be a teacher. My mom has being struggling since being retrenched and we don’t have money for the trip.

I am trying to raise sponsorship for me to reach and achieve my dream of going to the championship. I work part time and pay my dance lessons, and for my competition outfits and shoes, that I have to have for each competition I have to attend leading up to the WorldXII street dancing championship.
