Get Yaya Home!

You know when you meet people and they become your family? I have a friend called Lia i call her my sister from another Mr. Her family is like my own family and want to help her where i can. Our primary aim is to raise funds to help get Yaya (Lia's grandmother) home. She had a stroke which has left her paralysed down the one side and is currently in rehabilitation in hospital. I live in England and they live in Greece. Yaya's progress is slow as being a very active independent woman has dampened her spirits.

We feel that her being around her family, this will give her the stimulation she needs to progress with her health. I feel anything is possible if you put your mind to it.

There are requirements that the family must attend to before she can go home:

She needs a specialised bed to stop her getting bed sores A wheelchair to move around the home and take her out Adaptations will have to be made around the home to make things easier for the carer too.
