Xiao-long Martial Arts Academy is asking for your assistance with regards to sponsorship for our National Kickboxing Tournament called- DESTINY. At present we have students and learners from socially impoverished communities and we are unable to fund the tournament. Due to the high unemployment rate as well as gangsterism in our communities, our club plays a pivotal role in keeping learners off the streets. Our club has, since its opening on 01 November 2007, competed at National competitions which always takes place in Cape Town. We have made the Eastern Province proud by having more than 90% of our boys making the Protea National teams. Unfortunately, due to the lack of funds we are unable to send these students to the USA, Florida World Kickboxing Championships.

There are about fifteen (15) students studying at NMMU and other tertiary institutions. A large group of our kickboxers are students and learners either at high or primary schools in our community. Many however, are living in gangster infested areas and therefore get easily influenced by their negative surroundings.

For our Kick boxers to compete, the financial implications per person (Zar) are as follows:

Transport to Cape Town and back = R1000.00

Accommodation for three (3) nights = R 900.00

Registration for the tournament = R 200.00 (R150 + R50) two (2) events

(To enter more events an extra R40.00)

Food for four (4) days = R 800.00

Total Costs R 2900.00 (Plus minus)

At this point in time twenty five (25) students indicated that they want to represent our club at the National Tournament. Cost for twenty five people @ R 2900 x 25 = R 72500.00 or $5671
