Erin Sterkenburg, Caitlyn Burwood, Tafui Shangase and Christopher Wallace are 4 Durban teenage climbers who have qualified to attend the 2019 Youth World Climbing Championships in Arco, Italy in August.

Due to the fact that these climbers do not receive any funding from the South African Climbing Federation, their attendance and participation is dependent on them being able to raise the funds needed to pay for their travel and accommodation, as well as their South African team kit.

These young climbers have spent months and months training for the qualifying events and their hard work and dedication have now presented them with an opportunity to compete in an International event. They are more than ready to represent South Africa, but will only be able to do so if they raise the money needed to cover the costs of the trip. They therefore request that you please make a donation towards their cause, and in doing so, help them to proudly represent their country and realise their dreams.
