Operation: Get Olive to Sydney
Olive is a beautiful 10 year old grey and white cat, who started life with me when I adopted her from a roadside in Hammersmith. She's a gentle, sensitive, and affectionate cat who's seen me through a few personal hurdles and several house moves. I'm moving to Sydney in August and I've just discovered its going to cost £2300 to relocate her. The pet removal costs are £1389 and the three week quarantine in Australia is a whopping $1700, which is around about £1000. With the rest of the move costs I'm having to consider re-homing her instead.
Olive is a shy cat of nervous disposition, especially with new people. She can't be re-homed with children, or loud families, she needs a calm quiet home with outside space. It's already become a challenge to re-home her with friends and family - there just isn't anyone suitable/prepared to take her on - and I can't bear the thought of re-homing her through a website or to the general public.
So I came up with this idea to see if it might help. In my head I thought if 200 people could donate just £10, we could make this happen. Only 100 donating £20 would do the trick.
It's worth a shot.
Thanks so much for taking the time to look at my page. Any help you can offer to Get Olive to Sydney would be incredible. For those of you who know me, she's a very important part of my life. For those of you who don't, please have a look at the little video I've put together so you can meet Olive and me. We'll be forever grateful for anything you can do to help.
Much love, Olive and Kat x
