Hello. My name is Katryese. I live in the U.S. and am very new to this.
I bought a truck using almost my entire savings because I needed my own transportation in order to seek more gainful employment than what my location offers.
The truck appeared fine. Not too many major things stood out. But then some minor clues showed up that all was not well. Two months later, the truck is stalled with a bad transmission. And a week later, I was without a job.
To fix it is going to cost between $1200-$2300. $1200 to rebuild. $2300 to buy a new one plus labor (that is the low end). Considering I used most of my savings to pay for the truck, tags, taxes, and some minor repairs, with no job and bills to pay, I don't have an extra $2300 for repairs.
The situation is unfortunate because I was also looking at a small property. Just a fixer upper. In order to leave the low-income area I live in. Yet, because I don't know what costs this will entail; my anxiety is extremely high.
I have a heart condition which is slightly more aggrevated due to my stressful former job, coupled with probable anxiety--and these life events are not helping at all.
I'm not asking for any more than $2300. Because that is probably the max that will be required to fix my truck. Anything over $1200(rebuild) will go towards any relocation costs or recurring bills.
This is not something I would normally do. All donations are gratefully appreciated. Thanks.
