Get Mom To Marine Graduation

Most of you know Melvin is currently attending Marine Corps boot camp on Paris Island in SC. He enlisted earlier this year with the anticipation of leaving early in 2015.  Instead, Melvin received a 72 hour notice that he had to leave for boot camp Sept. 15th.  There was no time for Melvin to make any financial arrangements so I’ve been trying to keep up his bills along with my own.  I don’t mind because I know how important this is to Melvin.  He has been passionate about becoming a Marine since he first signed up.  I can feel the pride and determination in every letter I receive from him.  Melvin has set his eyes on graduation and is half way there.   It would mean the world to me to be able to attend Melvin’s graduation activities the week of December 8th, but financially it is just not possible.  If you know me, you know I’ve not always been able to give my sons material things.  What I’ve strived to do is to be present for them and support them in whatever they were led to do.  I would love to be able to travel to SC and be there as Melvin is processed out of boot camp and becomes a full Marine.  This is a huge accomplishment for him and I would be proud and grateful to witness these events. I’m believing that God will touch hearts and open doors. Thank you for all of the prayers and support you’ve given Melvin throughout his journey.   I know he appreciates it as much as I do.
