This year I am honoured to have been selected to represent the Great Britain Dragon Boat Racing team at the world dragon boat racing championships in Thailand. This is the 5th year running that I have been selected and in the previous years I've accumulated 14 international medals including a gold at the last world championships and am now looking to add to that this year.

Participation in this sport is Completely self funded as there are no grants or sponsorships from any organisations, with the championships being In Thailand this year the costs are considerably higher than previous years. there is also the additional costs of monthly training sessions across the UK.

It would be much appreciated if you could spare a little to sponsor my ambition to represent Great Britain in Thailand and try to continue my previous success in the sport.

My story.

I started Dragon Boat Racing in 2014 at the age of 14, it was the first sport I had ever been involved with and took an immediate liking to it, a few months later I was invited by a GB coach to Train and Trial for the GB U18 team for the 2015 world championships in Canada, I was fortunate to be selected and came home with 2 bronze medals which gave me the motivation to continue in this sport.

In 2016 I was again selected to represent GB U18 at the European Championships in Italy, despite having to miss my sisters wedding I decided that my dream to represent my country should come first. We came back with 5 bronze medals and a silver medal - won on the day of the wedding.

Gold in 2017 - World Championships in France saw us become world champions, winning the U18 200m event, we also achieved 3 bronze medals.

2018 - European Championships in Germany. this was my last year with GB U18, being just 18 when the championships took place. I finished my U18s career with another 2 Bronze there.

2019 - Thailand world Championships, my first year in the GB Premier Dragon Boat Team...

The last year or so I have been working towards improving my local club - Bristol Empire Dragons, taking on the role of captain and lead the club to a league promotion. recently I have taken over the role of coach which I have been building towards for a while and am on track to being one of the Youngest level 3 coaches.

I have also taken up Outrigger, Canoe and Raft racing to widen my paddling training and skills.

Thank you for taking the time to visit this page and read this, Your support with this venture is much appreciated

Thanks, Lee
