Get Me To My Sister!

Miles Apart

She helped me laugh and dried my tears,

I look up to her and I will for years.

For my sister is someone who I love from the heart,
No matter what life brings, I hate to be apart.

She filled my life with lots of smiles,
and I have countless memories that last for miles.

But three years ago she moved away,

and I really needed her here to stay.

I had just given birth to a beautiful boy,

She held him once, for a few seconds to enjoy.

I watch her children grow up only through photos,

And hear their voices on Skype, it’s just not the same though.

She watches back as my boy grows tall,

But a virtual life doesn’t cut it at all.

I wish to make new memories with her and my nieces,

Nursery and mortgage fees mean that chance ever decreases.

I’d do anything to see her again,

But I am struggling with how and when.
