As a social studies and technology teacher, it is my goal to give my students the best education and hands-on training I possibly can. As technology is constantly growing and changing, the one place that often gets left behind is the classroom. I don't want that to happen to my students.
In June of this year, I will have the opportunity to attend the ISTE 2014 conference in Atlanta. The International Society for Technology in Education brings together the innovative leaders in education technology and equips teachers from around the country to go change their classrooms and the world.
In addition to seeking funding for this training, I am attemping to get funding for an entire set of classroom computers so that that my students will be on the cutting-edge and no longer be an afterthought.
If I am able to obtain all of these computers, then I will definitely need the skills and know-how to push my kids into deep, content-rich learning, while learning all that technology has to offer them.
Any gift that you can will not only change my life, but the lives of more than 80 students in rural West Tennessee.
Thanks for your gift!
