Get Me TO GALA 2016!

HELLO! The Buffalo Gay Men's Chorus & The Rochester Gay Men's Chorus (to which I am a member of both organizations), will be attending the GALA of choruses conference in Denver, CO the summer of 2016.  GALA 2016 .  I attended last conference 2012 and was aw-struck in the over 6000 delegates from hundreds of choruses from around the county.  They have this 4-day conference every four years.  It is filled with back-to-back concerts from the choruses attending the conference.  It is simply amazing to see the larger cities perform LIVE - NYCGMC and SFGMC... So much is shared by way of music and performance styles... the opportunity to network with other choruses, sharing ideas and programs that we then have the opportunity to bring back to our local audiences!  A great example would be TESTIMONY by Stephen Schwartz written specifically for the the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus (SFGMC) which they sang at GALA 2012!  Both Buffalo and Rochester Gay Men's Choruses fell in love with that piece and brought is back to YOU - our local, loyal supporters! I would like the opportunity to attend this event again in 2016!  This is a sufficient financial commitment to those wanting to attend.  Each of us planning to go will need to raise $1200.00 to cover the costs of flight/accomodations/registration fees.  I am reaching out to my friends and family who know how much these organizations mean to me and how much I enjoy brining our stories to you through the gift of music!
