Campaign Story
Joe Nally (16) one of Fife's most talented rising cycling stars, has been subjected to the ugly side of life with bikes. Theft. Losing both his track and road bike in the one go. His bikes were chained to the car outside a Travelodge but the thieves cut through them then went on to viciously threaten the receptionist who caught them in the act but had to run for cover.
As most of us know, Joe is not only a lovely lad, but an extremely talented rider. He and his family have dedicated many years (and a lot of $!) in pursuit of his talent and his results are down to his continual hard work. A holder of national and Scottish records and a new member of the 'British Cycling Junior Academy' (one of only 4 boys in the UK) Joe has a bright and successful career ahead of him.
Many of us have seen the news on social media and if you, like me (a friend of the family) are not only disgusted by this (as with all bike thefts) but also want to be able to do a little something to help get him back on his bike then please join us in donating a wee bit of cash to contribute towards new bikes for Joe. I have no doubt that he will repay us with many more sporting successes on the National or even International sporting platform.
This campaign has been approved by the family who are grateful for the community's support of Joe and are doing everything they can to get the bikes back, ferry Joe round the country for the Academy, races and now borrowing bikes to keep him 'on track'.
If you would prefer to make a wee contribution in person, Hardie Bikes, Cairneyhill, Dunfermline, KY12 8QU will happily accept any spare pennies.
Thank you for your support, lets get Joe back on track!
