GET FIT FOR A CAUSE

At some point in late December 2015 I have decided to do at least one good thing per year, which is not directed at someone I know or a family member. Being rather altruistic person I always wanted to get myself involved in projects/jobs that make more than profits.

To make this possible and consistent, myself and my sister, have decided to start a project called 'Get Fit 4 A Cause'. The aim is to inspire people to do good for others and get fit at the same time. We have planned series (4) of free walking/hiking events around London that will allow people to network, enjoy nature, get fit and help people in need. After each event participants will be able to donate money that will help buy books for an orphanage in Bulgaria.

The goal for 2016 is to raise £500 and buy books for an orphanage in Bulgaria. To make this a success we partner with several organizations that support our project - One Heart Bulgaria, JCI London and Тук-Там UK.

Who support us:

One Heart Bulgaria - a non-profit humanitarian organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for Bulgarian orphans. http://www.oneheart-bg.org/

One Heart Bulgaria has helped us find good homes for the books and connected us with one of their local field directors.

JCI London - a network for young professionals in their 20s and 30s. http://www.jcilondon.org.uk/

I am a member of JCI London and they help me promote the events and inspire more people.

Тук-Там UK - is a network for Bulgarians abroad that use their knowledge to make positive change at home. They run educational, professional and social events and projects. http://www.tuk-tam.bg/

Тук-Там helps us find other Bulgarians that want to come to the events.

Who are we going to help:

One Heart Bulgaria is an American based organization that helps orphanages in Bulgaria. They have two orphanages that need books for their libraries. One of the orphanages is located in Asenovets, Bulgaria and the other is in Bratsigovo, Bulgaria.

The events:

(We have been to all these places and did all the hikes/walks. We have prepared info for each location and know all the cool things to see.)

1st: 21st May Saturday - Box Hill Hike (8 mile hike in one of the most beautiful parts of Surrey. Very close to London and loved by Jane Austen. Every year 900,000 people visit Box Hill.
