Ginger was found abandoned in an apartment by her previous owners after they moved out. She was infested with fleas and malnourished. A good samaritan saved her and asked Senior Pet Connection to find her a perfect forever home. Ginger was being fostered when her foster mommy had another four-legged house guest over. She got so excited to be able to play with one of the big dogs that she forgot how much smaller she was and unfortunately paid the price with a broken leg and 3 pulled teeth. Little Ginger is doing well after the vet removed her broken teeth and wrapped her in a cast, but the medical bill ended up being $750 plus an additional $150 for her next vet visit.
We are hoping some more good samaritans will step up and donate for Ginger to Get Better so we can make sure she has a smooth and full recovery. Every dollar helps! For more about Ginger or if you are interested in adopting her, read her profile below and contact us for more information:
"Ginger-Snap" has a great personality, very loving and laid back. Don't let that fool you though... she loves to play fetch and run around with the big dogs. She's about 2.5 years old, already spayed and house-trained. Ginger's adorable underbite and scruffy wire-hair make her quite a catch! She is about 15-20 lbs and won't get much bigger. If you're looking for a new lady then Ginger is your girl!
