Gerry’s fight against Stage 4 lung cancer

Hi, I am Mark Bryan Pangan, second son of Gerardo Pangan. I am asking on behalf of my family to help us with our fight for my father who is now suffering from Stage 4 Lung Cancer.

Last April 3, my father was rushed to the hospital due to difficulty in breathing. According to the doctor, this was due to pleural effusion wherein there's an unusual amount of fluid around his lungs. In order to treat this, he underwent surgery to drain the fluid. Initially, the doctor thought it was just caused by an infection so he was discharged afterwards. But on May 1, Biopsy and Immunohistochemistry result confirmed that atypical cells were found. The results of CT scan further confirmed that he is suffering from Stage 4 Lung Cancer and the abnormal cells metastasis to paraaortic lymphadenopathes and bone lesions. Oncology doctor said that our option is to try Oral Chemotherapy that would cost 100,000 (PHP) per month to prolong his life.
