Wartburg Kirchdorf School learners taking German will be embarking on an intercultural exchange programme in 2020. They will visit our partner school, the Herbartgymnasium in Oldenburg, and will participate in school lessons.
While food and accommodation during the two-week stay in Germany is provided, the learners are responsible for covering all other additional costs. This is why the students need to raise funds for their German language exchange.
We specifically have two excellent students who already managed to pay the deposit for the exchange but are each R10.000 short now. They both come from very poor families and still manage to be top A-students who will have such a big opportunity getting to know German universities during the exchange. Their underprivileged backgrounds should not deprive them from this.
I am hoping that you can in some way contribute to those two individual students and their situation.
My heart is so sad seeing them thriving in the classroom and I really do hope that we can give them this chance for this once in a lifetime opportunity.
