Gerel Abordo Padilla, a 30 year old male from Omboy Abucay Bataan Philippines badly needed financial support for his chemotherapy. It takes about almost 6 months before he was truly diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia. He was confined at Philippine General Hospital (Manila) for about 2 months.
Last December 2017, Gerel's first symptom was loss of appetite and feeling full whenever he ate a small amount of food. The doctor ordered him lots of laboratory test. But only one lab test answer it all the Complete Blood Count. All his blood counts are very low the red blood cell, white blood cells and platelet. So every month he was undergone blood transfusion in different hospitals.
He was also under gone Bone marrow aspiration in order for the doctors to rule out his disease. He has 70.78 blast in his bone marrow.
Gerel undergone induction chemotherapy but the result is not good because still there are few leukemia cells in his bone marrow.
He cry a lot about his health.Though he was strong to face every problem he went through,he was lack of money. His family belongs to a poor category. Both of his parents are already senior citizen. Gerel was the bread winner on his family.
Every month he will undergo chemotherapy. Decitabine (Decbine) for 5 days every 1 month. And if his blood counts drops another blood transfusion he will need.It cost 28 thousand per vial. And he needs more than 6 cycles of chemo sessions.
It was really hard for me being his girlfriend seeing that my boyfriend is suffering from this disease so i decided to help him through this.If we could get enough funds to continue his battle it would be a great help.
Hoping that good samaritans will come our way in order for Gerel to continue his battle in life.
Thank you very much in advance.
