George’s UK Elections Observer Mission

Hi,

My name is George Lapadat and I am a Romanian college student, studying International Relations and Political Sciences at the University of Bucharest.

I am a very socially-involved student, being a leader of important students’ associations, creating free educational and professional opportunities for fellow college students in my country and not only (see Young Ambassadors Forum 2019).

This year I have applied for an International Elections Observer position in the UK Parliamentary Elections held in December 2019 and have been accepted today. This is a very important opportunity for me, as this will help me gain experience as an international elections observer and will allow me to get an even more in-depth understanding of the British political and electoral system. This will also be very important for my academic career, as I am preparing to apply for a Master’s in European Politics and Administration, and acquiring this experience will be a very important plus in my future Bachelor’s thesis and Master’s application.

The donated money will cover my flights from Bucharest to London and other minimal personal expenses while observing the elections.
