George’s Malawi Mission

I'm going on a short term mission trip next August to the orphanage/children’s hospital in Mtunthama, Malawi with young people from Hope Baptist Church, Plymouth. We'll be supporting the work in the orphanage, hospital and church while we're there, getting involved as much as possible. We'll be experiencing lots; eating, sleeping, working and playing, the same as the locals!

We want to make a difference in children's lives, and this will help both the locals and us appreciate the importance of working together in our world, irrespective of our different backgrounds and culture, and experiencing a different way of life.

In my efforts to make this happen I will be running the Eden Half-Marathon with my Dad on Sunday 18th October as well as other events to be arranged following that.

The funds raised will enable my travel to Malawi and the remainder of the cost for food, accomodation and materials to support the work there will be raised by the whole team through locally organised events. My personal fundraising target is split with £650 by 1st November and £600 by 1st February, in which I will be making a sizeable personal contribution.
