“Cancer can take away all of my physical abilities. It cannot touch my mind, it cannot touch my heart, and it cannot touch my soul.” – Jim Valvano
Thank you everyone for supporting my Dad, George Hernandez!!
George Hernandez was first diagnosed with prostate cancer in October of 2010, he was then diagnosed with small cell cancer in February 2012. With the support of his family and doctors, George had his first round of chemotherapy and radiation to target prostate and small cell cancer. He was able to beat that cancer and went into remission by February 2014. In July 2014 we found out the Cancer had come back, however, this was a different cancer, stage 4 pancreatic cancer, and requires much more invasive treatment. He underwent a whipple surgery that removed 30% of his pancreas. Unfortunately, we found out the cancer has spread to the liver and he is undergoing another round of chemotherapy. Even with the terrible prognosis of recovery George remains upbeat and he is determined to fight and enjoy each day.
For those of you that have had the pleasure to get to know my dad, George, over the years you know that he is one of a kind. He is generous, kind hearted, and the most loyal person you will ever meet. He is a special person with an upbeat attitude and incredible spirit that goes to great strides to always help people out. My dad has a great deal of friends and family supporting him, but he needs our help now more than ever. The cost of ongoing treatment has been be a tremendous financial burden for our family, so any financial donation is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much, love you all!!
