Geology in Iceland

Hi My name is Dora, I am studying geology and got nominated for a scholarship to study in Iceland for a semester. Unfortunately , this scholarship would only cover approx. 25% of all my expenses. Here is my story: Living in Iceland has been my dream since I was 14, when I first saw a Björk video clip. This is where all began, I fell in love with the country. Being a geologist, Iceland is one of the most exciting places on Earth, if you just think of all the glaciers, volcanoes, geysers and thermal water etc. which is concentrated on this island. On top of this I am also fond of the language of the vikings, I have already started taking a course in Icelandic. This pretty much sums up my motivation. Money business: I got a scholarship of ca. 800 EUR for the whole semester. Calculating the living expenses in Reykjavik, it adds up to ca. 4000 EUR/4360 USD for the whole period. I am a Hungarian citizen and I cannot get any state support. I am planning to work there, but one can never be sure, whether getting a job or not. Thus, I am lacking ca. 3200 EUR/ 3500 USD to be able to support myself on low-budget in Iceland. I would be grateful for any support that could bring me closer to my dream.
