Gemma Kate Henley Crohns fundraiser

Dearest friends... It's 6 weeks until Bethany Lauren Henley , Liv Henley and myself do the 5k run at Heaton Park.
This is our story and the reason we're running.

5 years ago our beautiful daughter Gemma Kate Henley,was diagnosed with Crohn's disease. Despite every effort ,7 operations & over the years,months in hospital we just could not get the hospital to prescribe a medical pathway. Gemma continued to deteriorate and lost 2 jobs along the way. One very dear to her hear...t with Virgin. Gemma has the voice of an angel but couldn't even muster the energy to sing.

On February the 1st this year 2015 our lives were turned upside down.
We had to make that phone call every parent dreads 999.
We nearly lost Gemma that night due to her illness.
I can not tell you how devastated David my self and her sisters were.
Salford Royal A&E you truly are amazing people.

To then learn that Gemma had been given the wrong Treatment for all those years & been prescribed the wrong medication is beyond any parents comprehension.

To you our dear friends that held our hand on this dark journey you will always have a place in our hearts and home. Thank you

They breath deep and get up and run to raise money for this amazing girl, who is here fighting this dreadful disease.
