Gavin’s Triathlon challenge

This year I have decided to take on the Jersey Triathlon and have opted for the full Olympic distance of 1.5k of swim, 40k cycle and a 10k run.

I have decided I would like to raise money for the Robin Ward at Jersey’s General Hospital. Our daughter has been a regular visitor over the past year and the doctors have been extremely helpful in controlling her asthma. I know that they and all the children would be extremely grateful for any extra funds that could be raised.

This will be a huge challenge for me; especially as finding time to train is difficult with the long hours we all work in the hospitality industry. My training is nevertheless in full swing with my cycle training consisting of my daily commute to work (plus a little detour around Gorey to up the mileage!) running in the evenings and at the weekend with my family (which is the hardest discipline for me) and out of the warm swimming pool at Quennavais and into the sea.
