It is with great sadness that we announce that on March 15, 2013, Gary Cunningham , Jr  was called home. Losing someone you love is never easy, but when their life is taken away at such a young age it is that much more difficult.  We all will miss my brother more than words can say. He may be gone but his memory will live on in our hearts forever. He will be sorely missed.

We are now in the process of making arrangements for his funeral and want to ask friends and family to come together and remember the life of Gary. We also want to ask, if you are able, to please make a contribution to this fund to help us pay for his funeral expenses. If you rather make a contribution by other means, please contact Gary's mother, Darlene Cunningham, or his sister, Sarita Graham, at (216) 369-7097. Thank you for all your support.

  • Gary was unique in this world as - from what little interaction I had with him each day as he worked in the mail room here at Tri-C - he seemed to model his faith in God. He walked the walk. You could tell he was different from his actions. Gary seemed to be a good man. He was always kind to people, was funny, and would also share his faith in God with others. It was very sad to hear about his death so early in life, and while it will be hard for his family that he left behind, it seemed from what little I know, there should be some comfort in knowing he is with the Lord. No more illness, stress, or hardship. Sincerely, Jen

  • I met Gary while working at Tri-C East. I will always remember him as being very courteous and respectful to me and to everybody he met. We would always banter back and forth about so many things. He was very opinionated and passionate about a variety of things in life which, to me, is what made Gary the person he was. If you were feeling down about something, he would give you words of encouragement. One thing I took away from knowing Gary is that he loved his family. I feel like I know his wife, daughter, mother, his uncle and his grandparents. Gary knew everyone at Tri-C! LOL And if he didn't know you, he'd make a point to say kind words to you before he's on his way. I saw him last on the RTA and he had just had a root canal. I knew something was amiss because he wasn't talking a lot, which is very, very rare for Gary! LOL He had also stopped by the college to pick up his degree. He was proud of the work he did at the college and he was proud of that degree. One other thing; Gary took the time to befriend my son, Chris, who also worked in the campus mail room. They had a lot in common...art and video games. They have remained friends ever since. Gary: you will be sorely missed. Deepest condolences to all his family. RIP Marcelle Eades

  • Gary was a joy, so inspirational, with a kind and encouraging word always. One day he saw me in the hallway at school and though he seemed to be in a hurry, he knew my Mom had recently passed. He stopped and prayed with me and expressed his deepest condolences...taking his time as if nothing else mattered at that moment. He truly cared about people, loved his wife and daughter. I will miss him. He had been on my mind for the past 2 weeks and I tried several ways to reach him but to no avail. I will never forget him.
